At 3:00 p.m. on September 11, 2018, Professor ram Ramanathan from the University of Bedford, UK, presented a wonderful academic seminar for the teachers and students of our school in the 201 conference room of business school.

Theas report will be one of the series reports of the business school logistics and supply chain forum, with the theme of "how to find new research topics and publish papers in journals". Vice President Li Zhiqiang presided over the meeting.

President Li first welcomed the arrival of Professor ram Ramanathan. Then he introduced professor ram Ramanathan to the teachers and students of our college. Professor ram Ramanathan is currently a professor of operations management and director of the Institute of business and management at the University of Bedford, UK. He graduated from Indian Institute of technology. He has been engaged in the research of industrial management and environmental management for a long time. His main research fields include e-learning, operation management, analysis technology, sustainable development, data analysis, etc. Many students came in admiration, and the scene was full of people. Professor ram Ramanathan, focusing on the theme of the lecture, discusses the following aspects: "finding problems", "how to carry out academic research", "publishing papers", "finding out research problems", "raising questions" and "writing papers". The students in our college have learned the method of writing graduation thesis and clarified the direction of their graduation thesis. After that, President Li expressed his gratitude to Professor ram Ramanathan for his excellent report. Professor ram Ramanathan's report has great inspiration for us to find research problems, refine problems, write papers and publish papers. Professor Yu Wantao, a Yellow River scholar from rohampton University, also said that Professor ram has provided us with good suggestions and research ideas in finding research topics and writing academic papers, which is very beneficial for us to carry out academic research. After that, the students asked questions enthusiastically and asked about the topic selection of graduation thesis and other relevant details.

This lecture benefited the teachers and students of our college, and provided the basis for improving the quality of their papers and writing their own papers from a unique perspective.
